Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Description
RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based systems. This role focuses on hybrid and multi-cloud environments and serves as a key bridge between traditional IT infrastructure and modern cloud solutions, enabling the organization to fully leverage cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and define cloud architectures for new and existing systems and services
- Implement and manage scalable, secure solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and event-driven architectures
- Oversee day-to-day cloud operations to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Establish secure, software-defined cloud interconnects between on-premises systems and cloud environments
- Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues with minimal disruption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that improve performance, scalability, and security
- Align cloud solutions with mission objectives and organizational requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with current and emerging technologies
- Proven experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and analytics
- Experience with network security, identity and access management (IdAM), and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, NIST)
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and role-based access control (RBAC)
- Experience with IdAM technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), LDAP, and cloud-based identity solutions
- Proficiency with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
- Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field
- Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- AWS and/or Microsoft certifications at the Associate or Expert level (e.g., Solutions Architect, Systems Administrator, or Engineer)
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), or law enforcement environments
- Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II requirements
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) required
