Job Description

Position Overview
In this dual-capacity role, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing high-level organizational and analytical support to Product Manager Tactical Communications Systems (PdM TCS) and Project Manager Command and Control Transport. You will be instrumental in enabling performance tracking, funding forecasting, and proactive risk mitigation across a diverse program portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
• Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive schedules for multiple programs within the PdM TCS office; synchronize critical paths, track CDRL deliveries, program reviews, and contract changes to facilitate accurate cost and logistics planning.
• Risk Management & Mitigation: Serve as the Primary Risk Manager; maintain the program risk register for all PdM TCS programs in alignment with the DoD Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management Guide. Generate predictive data to enable early risk recognition and resolution.
• Acquisition Support: Develop and sustain program plans and acquisition documentation aligned with DoD milestones; deliver schedule and risk analyses to support the organizational efforts of PdM TCS. Prepare and staff high-visibility briefings regarding schedule and risk posture for senior leadership.
• Administrative Operations: Lead staff action tracking, manage program deliverable processing, and draft technical memoranda to support PdM TCS program objectives.

Required Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of program management support experience.
• DoD Expertise: At least five (5) years of experience specifically within a DoD Acquisition environment, with expert knowledge of acquisition milestones and staffing processes.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in any field.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for IMS development; expert-level MS Office Suite skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Proactive problem-solver with a detail-oriented approach to complex program scheduling and risk analysis.


Product Manager Tactical Communications Systems (PdM TCS) falls under Project Manager Command and Control (C2) Transport (formerly known as PM Tactical Network).

This alignment is part of the U.S. Army's CPE Command and Control Information Network (CPE C2IN) reorganization to support Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2).

• Mission: PdM TCS manages a diverse portfolio of communication capabilities, including the Leader Radio, Handheld Radios, and Single Channel Assured Voice Radios (SCAR).
• Strategic Role: Within the PM C2 Transport structure, PdM TCS ensures that these tactical systems remain reliable and supportable throughout their lifecycle.
• Infrastructure Support: PM C2 Transport also utilizes the PM C2 Transport NEXUS, a secure web-based application used for streamlining fielding and logistics.
