Senior Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Purview, and Intune to support and manage a modern, cloud-based enterprise environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of core systems, with a primary focus on cloud services, identity management, and data protection.

On a day-to-day basis, this position administers and supports Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, manages identity and access through Entra ID, and enforces security and compliance policies using tools such as Microsoft Purview and Intune. The role includes configuring and maintaining endpoint management solutions, monitoring system performance, and resolving issues across cloud and hybrid environments. This position also partners with internal stakeholders to guide technology decisions and ensure systems are aligned with operational needs and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve in a Mission Essential capacity, supporting secure and reliable operations across cloud and hybrid environments
• Administer and manage Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including identity and access through Entra ID
• Configure and maintain endpoint management and security controls using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview
• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise software environments in support of business operations
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex issues related to software, connectivity, and user access
• Implement system changes to resolve issues and strengthen overall security posture
• Support application networking functions, including load balancing and fault-tolerant design
• Perform vulnerability management activities to identify and remediate system risks
• Collaborate with engineering teams on the implementation and improvement of new and existing technologies
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and procedures
• Provide technical guidance aligned with organizational IT strategy and long-term system planning

Minimum Qualifications:
• Seven (7) years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on system installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong experience with Azure, Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, and Intune
• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and hybrid identity architectures

Required Skills/Certifications
• Required to possess a DOD SECRET Clearance and be eligible for an IT I
• Must possess Cyber Security Baseline certification, IAT level II (Security +or CISSP) requirements at the time of employment
• Must possess required Computing Environment (CE) Certification, one of the following: MCSA: Windows Server 2012, MCSE: Windows Server 2012, MCSA: Windows Server 2016, MCSE: Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), VMware AirWatch Associate Accreditation (AA), VMware AirWatch Professional Accreditation (PA) Microsoft 365 Certified Messaging Administrator, Microsoft 365 Security Administrator, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Desired Skills:
• Four (4) years of direct Microsoft 365 support experience
• Four (4) years of direct Azure/Entra ID administrative experience
• Two (2) years of experience with an MDM tool (preferably Intune)
