Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Integrator to support the integration, assessment, and sustainment of secure cloud-based systems across multiple cloud service providers, including AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on ensuring security controls, compliance requirements, and system architectures are properly integrated and aligned with enterprise security standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in cloud security technologies, system integration, and information system security engineering, with the ability to assess, validate, and enhance system security posture. This position requires collaboration with engineers, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and operationally effective across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Integrate and support cloud security technologies and systems across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud environments.
• Assess cloud infrastructures for security gaps and vulnerabilities, ensuring alignment with industry standards and security frameworks.
• Analyze security scan results and perform risk analysis, identifying weaknesses and supporting mitigation strategies.
• Review and validate security control evidence packages to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with A&A requirements.
• Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, including maintaining security documentation and continuous monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve security and integration challenges across systems.
• Facilitate and participate in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with cloud service providers to evaluate system architectures.
• Monitor system alerts and security events, documenting risks and supporting remediation efforts.
• Support the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system security and integration activities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining security metrics, compliance dashboards, and performance indicators.
• Support the integration of security controls into system architectures to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.
• Contribute to program documentation, technical reporting, and system integration efforts across the lifecycle.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience integrating and supporting cloud-based systems across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of NIST RMF, ICD 503, FIPS-199, NIST 800-53, and CNSS 1253 security requirements.
• Experience supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes and maintaining security packages.
• Experience conducting security assessments and vulnerability analysis.
• Experience working with security scanning tools such as Rapid7, Nessus, or Qualys.
• Experience managing and tracking Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Experience utilizing compliance tools such as Xacta 360, Risk Vision, or RSA Archer.
• Experience conducting information system security engineering (ISSE) activities.
• Experience reviewing and integrating cross-domain and enterprise architectures.
• Experience developing and maintaining security metrics, dashboards, and reporting artifacts.
Desired Skills
• Experience creating or reviewing A&A body of evidence documentation in cloud environments.
• Experience identifying, implementing, or assessing security controls within cloud systems.
• Experience working tools such as Xacta 360.
