As a Accounting Manager - Manager Level 2 your role at Chandler, AZ will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. Ready to join forces with our visionary team?

Our Accounting Manager will lead a team that handles accounting and financial reporting for the Division Controller function while also overseeing additional cross-functional managerial duties. In this dual role, you will act as both a team leader and an active contributor, managing balance-sheet accounting, reporting, month-end close, and system-processing activities. You will also ensure that our accounting and related business systems remain approved and compliant with FAR and DFAR requirements.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Your Role and Impact:
  • Lead a team of accounting and finance professionals, overseeing development, task assignment, resource allocation, prioritization, innovation, succession planning, and deadline compliance
  • Manage the preparation and approval of adjusting journal entries
  • Serve as backup for the P&L manager and mentor a deputy-in-training for the balance-sheet manager role to strengthen leadership continuity
  • Provide financial reporting and ad-hoc analyses for the Business Unit, Division, Sector, and Corporation
  • Support internal, SOX, DCAA, and external audits
  • Assist with financial-system upgrades and conversions
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with 6 years of professional experience.
  • No clearance required to start
  • Experience with Government Cost Accounting Standards and FAR/DFAR
  • Experience with Costpoint, and similar ERP tools and applications

  • MBA

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
