The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented technical writer with experience supporting defense or government programs, capable of producing high-quality documentation that enables effective system deployment, operation, and sustainment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, edit, and maintain a wide range of technical documentation, including system manuals, operator and maintainer guides, startup and initialization procedures, SOPs, and technical reference materials.

• Incorporate diagrams, workflows, and visual aids to enhance usability and technical understanding.
• Manage document lifecycle activities, including version control, revision tracking, and configuration management.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and program leadership to validate technical accuracy and ensure documentation meets mission needs.
• Support program milestones, technical reviews, and fielding activities by delivering complete and polished documentation packages.
• Conduct research and engage with subject matter experts to resolve gaps and clarify complex technical details.
• Handle sensitive information in accordance with program security requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or related field or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant specialized experience (including military experience) may be considered, based on customer requirements.
• 3-5 years of experience
• Active Secret or higher security clearance; preferred Top Secret (TS) clearance
• Proficiency with document authoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, structured templates, style guides, and basic graphics tools).
• Experience with document control processes, including versioning and configuration management.
• Familiarity with Army documentation protocols and collaboration with engineering/cyber team.
• Proven experience developing technical documentation such as manuals, SOPs, guidebooks, or system documentation for complex government or defense systems.
