Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across operational activities to identify hazards, evaluate mitigation options, and inform decision making.
- Ensure full compliance with safety policies, standardized procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver recommendations to enhance operational safety, efficiency, and mission effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including operations, logistics, safety, and program leadership to address safety concerns and maintain alignment with mission priorities.
- Monitor operational workflows and provide data driven insights to support process improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of safety initiatives, training materials, and corrective action plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting operational missions involving uncrewed systems.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Python, R, Tableau).
- Ability to visualize and present data effectively.
- Understanding of airspace regulations and procedures.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations pertaining to UAS operations.
- FAA Part 107 certification (for UAS operations) or the ability to obtain it with 6 months of Task Order start.
- Certified as an Aviation Safety Officer, or is capable of being certified within 6 months of filling role.
