Job Description
This role supports a next-generation radar product line at the core of America's missile defense sensor architecture. The systems being built here are deployed in strategic ground-based installations and aboard allied navy warships worldwide. The hiring surge is driven by Golden Dome for America, a Manhattan Project scale sprint to field a layered shield over the U.S. homeland against ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile threats by the end of 2027.
You will be at the front lines of some of the most innovative sensor development happening in American defense right now. This site is a playground for senior RF and digital hardware engineers: brand new programs, new customers, novel missions, and state of the art technology that doesn't exist anywhere else yet. This is not maintenance work on 20 year old radars. This is architecting the sensors that will define the next era of electronic warfare, radar, and acoustic sensing. As a senior engineer, you'll drive technical decisions that shape the final product and play a direct role in capturing new business.
Location: Central New York (full onsite presence required for classified network access)
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related STEM discipline
5+ years designing RF hardware (amplifiers, filters, mixers, transmit/receive modules) OR digital hardware (FPGAs, ASICs, high speed digital boards) at the component and board level. Candidates with both strongly preferred.
Daily working knowledge of MATLAB design toolboxes to model signal chains, design filters, or validate component level performance, with proficiency writing MATLAB, Python, or C++ scripts to automate hardware characterization, data collection, or test execution
Direct domain background designing or developing radar, electronic warfare (EW), phased array/AESA antennas, or acoustic sensing systems
Active U.S. Secret clearance required
PLUS SKILLS
Electromagnetic simulation experience in HFSS or ANSYS for antenna design, antenna pattern analysis, or board level signal integrity analysis
Track record performing board level signal integrity, power integrity, or thermal analysis using industry standard tools
Building SysML models in Cameo or Rhapsody to document hardware architecture
Hands on experience writing and debugging code in a Linux environment, managing version control with Git, submitting and reviewing code through GitLab, and authoring technical documentation in Confluence
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead design and analysis of RF or digital hardware for novel sensor products
Run HFSS or ANSYS simulations to support antenna design and board level analysis
Use MATLAB design toolboxes to model signal chains and validate component level performance
Drive integration and test of novel sensor hardware across the product lifecycle
Work across both classified and unclassified environments
Mentor junior hardware engineers and drive technical direction
Contribute to proposal development and new business capture as assigned
