Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.

Experience: Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas. Examples include:
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience for this position includes: (1) Define problems and provide alternative solutions to quality control matters, and (2) gather data to prepare management briefings.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
All qualifications and education requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: Federal agencies treat active duty service member as veterans, disabled veterans, and preference eligible, when they submit, as part of their application package, a "certification" of active service in lieu of a DD-214, indicating the service member is otherwise eligible and will be discharged or released within 120 days from the date of submission.. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
- Leads and supervises a team of Quality Assurance Specialists, assigning and prioritizing work, providing technical guidance, evaluating performance, and ensuring effective resolution of technical and personnel issues.
- Oversees quality assurance and contract compliance for construction and facilities projects, including reviewing technical requirements, validating contractor performance, approving invoices, and ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory standards.
- Serves as a key liaison and advisor to leadership and Contracting Officers, providing expert guidance on QA processes, project execution, and contractor performance, while supporting acquisition and oversight activities as a COR.
- Develops, implements, and monitors QA policies, procedures, and reporting, ensuring effective documentation, financial accountability, and continuous improvement of operational and quality control processes.

- Investigating customer complaints and deficiency reports, and providing identification of causes to appropriate authorities.
- Reading, interpreting, and applying technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, or technical manuals.
- Reviewing and evaluating supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections.
