Job Description

Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mission analysis and provide subject matter expertise in Information Operations (IO) and Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) .
  • Integrate and synchronize Information Related Capabilities (IRC) including MISO, OPSEC, MILDEC, and other influence capabilities within operational planning processes.
  • Review and operationalize tactical and operational-level IO directives in support of maneuver elements and joint operations.
  • Develop and track Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) to assess operational impact.
  • Support both Future Operations (FUOPS) and Current Operations (CUOPS) planning cycles.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and operational updates to senior military leaders and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with intelligence community partners and operational planning teams to ensure synchronization of information activities.
  • Participate in operational planning teams, working groups, and cross-functional coordination forums.
  • Author and update Operations Security (OPSEC) plans and policies .
  • Provide analysis of cultural and operational factors that influence planning, risk assessments, and mission execution.


Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility .
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience supporting operational planning, information operations, or related mission areas.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (additional experience may substitute for education).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting IO, MISO, or OPSEC planning at the service, joint, or Combatant Command level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Planning Processes (JOPP), MDMP, or MCPP .
  • Experience integrating Information Related Capabilities (IRC) into operational planning.
  • Ability to develop and deliver operational briefings to senior leaders.
  • Experience coordinating with joint, interagency, and intelligence community partners .
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport for overseas deployment.


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Former military officers or planners from relevant career fields such as:
    Army 30A (Information Operations)
    Army 37A (PSYOP / MISO)
    Marine Corps 17XX
    Air Force 14FX
  • Experience serving in a J39, IO Planner, or Information Activities Coordinator role .
  • Completion of relevant courses such as:
    Army Information Operations Planner Course (AIOPC)
    Military Information Support Operations Integration Course (MISOIC)
    Military Deception (MILDEC) planning courses
    Defense OPSEC planners training
  • Graduate-level education in Strategic Communications, International Affairs, Military Studies, or related disciplines .
