Crypto Engineer
The Opportunity:
You'll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to sustain and evolve next generation resilient Missile War ning ( MW ) , Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance ( TISR ) , and Environmental Monitoring ( EM ) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our war fighters to defeat our enemies in battle. You will work within a cross-functional and cross-organization team to leverage your knowledge of cryptographic solutions and architectures to inform senior leadership on critical security decisions for our nation's security. This is an opportunity to use critical thinking and analysis skills to adequately assess and inform government leaders and commander s on solutions to cryptographic challenges. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity and network administration
- 3+ years of experience with processes to procure and manage Controlled Cryptographic Items ( CCI ) , or developing or evaluating cryptographic requirements for space or terrestrial cryptography
- Knowledge of cryptographic modernization
- Knowledge of cryptographic architectures
- Ability to brief senior-level government offi cia ls
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity
- DoD 8140 Certification such as CompTIA Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with space-based remote sensing systems
- Experience managing secure voice devices, network encryptors, link encryptors, secure remote access devices, hard disk encryptors, and Tier 3 management devices, and managing organizational mission assurance or risk management planning, training, and exercise programs
- Experience with USAF or USSF cryptographic systems
- Knowledge of cryptographic contract requirements
- Ability to recommend actionable contract language
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, IT, Information Assurance, or Information Security
- CISSP, CISM, or Security+ Certification
