Job Description

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in building secure, automated, and scalable software delivery pipelines. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-security environments and enjoys streamlining development workflows using modern DevSecOps practices.

You'll work at the intersection of development, security, and operations-helping teams deliver reliable software through automation, strong infrastructure practices, and secure deployment strategies.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including advanced YAML configurations, custom runners, and reusable templates
  • Develop and manage containerized environments using Docker or Podman, with orchestration in Kubernetes (K8s)
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration
  • Establish and manage build automation processes, including nightly builds, automated linting, and unit testing gates
  • Support development and deployment in air-gapped or high-security environments
  • Administer and maintain collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost
  • Partner with development teams to improve CI/CD workflows, enhance build reliability, and enable scalable deployments
  • Contribute to DevSecOps practices that ensure secure, compliant software delivery

What You'll Bring
  • Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • 12-15 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience building and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including YAML workflows and custom runners
  • Strong experience with containerization (Docker or Podman) and Kubernetes orchestration
  • Proficiency with Terraform or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience implementing build automation (nightly builds, linting, unit testing integration)
  • Proven ability to operate in air-gapped or highly secure environments
  • Administrative familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GitLab certifications

Nice to Have
  • Experience integrating SAST, DAST, and SCA tools into CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of system hardening and compliance frameworks, including STIGs and NIST 800-53 or RMF
  • Familiarity with SBOM requirements and secure software supply chain practices
