Sentar is seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer

Role Description:

The AFSO reports directly to the FSO and assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies and procedures.

• Familiarity with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), and Electronic Application (eAPP)
• Provides and tracks security briefings, debriefings, and training for employees
• Is an active member of the onboarding team to present initial security briefing and obtain required security documentation
• Maintains company personnel security clearance records
• Processes and tracks employee security clearances, investigations, form completion, visit requests
• Submits CAC requests, and other contract-specific requirements
• Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections, including FCL Self-Inspections
• Assists with the administration of company CUI processes and compliance
• Supports other company security disciplines as needed in connection with specific projects
• Other duties as assigned by the FSO

This is a hybrid position that requires in-person presence in the Sentar Huntsville office at least 2 days a week.

Qualifications:

Clearance Level: Secret Clearance and US citizen

Education: N/A

Experience:

• Must have at least 3 years of industrial security experience
• Must complete, or have completed the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum, within six months of employment
• Familiarity with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule

• Strong computer skills
• Must be able to interpret and implement security policy, and provide guidance, oversight, and assistance to company personnel
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Must have strong interpersonal skills
