Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Applying security principles to support and assist in the management of multiple, integrated security programs (such as physical security, anti-terrorism, and personnel security); (2) Analyzing security and emergency management plans to ensure compliance with regulations and recommend improvements; AND (3) Providing technical guidance, direction, or training to team members or junior personnel on security policies and procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).

- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
- This is a Mission Essential position. Incumbent is subject to 24-hour recall for security program and emergency response duties. This includes potential weekend/night tours of duty and remaining on post during emergencies until relieved.
- Complete Army Emergency Management Course and CP-12 Professional Certificate in Army Emergency Management -Level 1 within the first three years of employment.
- Subject to random urinalysis testing IAW approved DA guidelines.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Official Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time may be required.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
