Job Description

BryceTech is currently looking for a Security Analyst IV. This position will be supporting Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological Radiological Nuclear Defense - Medical. This role will provide security analysis support to Government project leads, to include travel when needed.
  • Require Secret (S) access to perform Access Control tasks, monitor the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); access required to support multiple Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
  • Maintain an Access Control program for CBRN Medical at two locations: on base and satellite location or Standalone Facility (SAF). Processing visitors and conduct 100% ID checks to ensure only authorized persons displaying a valid form of identification enter.
  • Support foreign visitor procedures for CBRN Medical and ensure all required documentation is obtained prior to visits from any Foreign Nationals.
  • Become familiar with and able to demonstrate a knowledge of the CBRN Medical's Emergency Action Plans (EAPs which cover fire, bomb, intruder, etc. type events).
  • Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site and the safety of personnel, equipment, and sensitive information.
  • Conduct building sweeps in and around restricted/non‑restricted areas, complete the Fort Detrick required Random, multiple security (RAMs), daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly, and identify potentially prohibited items, and check the status of non‑classified areas within Standalone Facility and base.
  • Manage the secure locations (e.g., SIPRNET rooms, etc.) and maintain an access roster, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access. Work with the Fort Detrick Security Office to assist employees with accessing the SIPRNET rooms and maintain DA Form 1999 "Restricted Area Visitor Register."
  • Organize and manage secure safes located within CBRN Medical Buildings. Periodically change combinations on SIPRNET rooms and safes when required.
  • Work with CBRN Medical Leadership to ensure success of the security programs, make recommendations to improve overall security operations, and provide a brief summary of events which impact daily operational functions.
  • Perform Personnel Security (PERSEC) tasks within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Serve as one of the subject matter experts as needed during emergency operations, including crisis response, continuity, contingency, and exercise activities.
  • Conduct Start/End of Day procedures and report any potential findings to CBRN Medical Operations Director.
  • Complete/compile Standard Form 701 "Activity Security Checklist" and DA Form 1594 "Daily Staff Journal" and maintain accountability logs/reports for visiting personnel daily.
  • Create an Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance Systems (APACS) account. Process and direct travel requests for CBRN Medical personnel traveling on official foreign travel orders. Review theater and country‑specific information in the DoD Electronic Foreign Clearance Guide.
  • Support classified meetings by properly setting up and taking down the meeting room, adhering to security protocols for classified meetings, ensuring all electronic devices are collected outside of the room, providing sign‑in sheets, and giving the general announcement prior to the meeting starting.
  • Support the planning, organization, direction, and leading of emergency response programs for CBRN Medical.
  • Serve as one of the subject matter experts to CBRN Medical on emergency response, Chemical/Biological/Radiological and Nuclear operations, and emergency management.
  • Support the organization, planning, and management of various emergency response programs with Federal, state, and local entities.
  • Support the development of programs for providing necessary emergency guidance as well as required training to CPE CBRN Medical personnel.
  • Support the Combating Terrorism program and support the installation operational security program.
  • Maintain the CCTVs located at CBRN Medical buildings.
  • Manage keys for one of the CBRN Medical buildings.
  • Attend the Fort Detrick Installation Protection Executive Committee meetings and other scheduled installation security‑related meetings.
  • Work within CBRN Medical core hours.
  • Assist with the creation and enforcement of Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CBRN Medical covering security roles and responsibilities, security violations, Classified Destruction Procedures, and other security‑related subjects.
  • Assist with the creation and oversight of clearance upgrades for all CBRN Medical personnel whose official duties require access to critical‑sensitive or special‑sensitive information.
  • Conduct and manage the initial inspection for a Controlled Access Area (CAA) to be activated while ensuring the area meets Army NETCOM Form 390‑5‑8 requirements.
  • Administer the CBRN Medical Security In‑Processing Brief for incoming personnel covering security responsibilities, basic understanding of DoD security policies, and the importance of protecting government assets.
  • Assist with an Emergency Action Plan for CBRN Medical buildings with SIPRNET and soon‑to‑be‑activated SIPR areas covering procedures for the protection, evacuation, and emergency destruction of classified information.
  • Serve as an antiterrorism officer for CBRN Medical.
  • Serve as a Point of Contact for CBRN Medical for all Physical, Personnel, Industrial, and Anti‑Terrorism security‑related topics or incidents.
  • Be a security Point of Contact for CBRN Medical during all installation CCRI or SIPRNET area inspections.
  • Support the review and approval of the security portion on all DD2875 System Authorization Access Requests for CBRN Medical personnel.
  • Assist with in‑ and out‑processing of Civilian, Military, and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct SIPRNET walkthroughs/training with new personnel or those requiring remedial training.
  • Receive debriefs at the Secret level on Biannual Threat Briefs and assist with course‑of‑action development in support of IPTs.
  • Maintain the organization's COOP program to ensure mission‑essential functions continue during disruptions.
  • Serve as a point of contact in the security management of all international cooperative agreements. Responsible for ensuring compliance and secure execution of the command's portfolio of International MOUs, MOAs, CRADAs, and Project Agreements. Responsible for conducting detailed security reviews of all drafts and active international agreements, analyzing them against NDP‑1, ITAR/EAR, and other governing regulations to identify risks related to technology transfer and information security, and providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
