Job Title: AV Field Engineer
Location: Tysons Corner, VA
Clearance/Citizen Type: Secret and ability to obtain a Top secret
Salary: $100K-$140K DOE/Certs
Responsibilities:
You will be working with a dynamic team of system engineers responsible for design decisions in all areas of A/V Systems and the technical direction of multiple projects across multiple programs for operations. Responsibilities include designing the systems hardware and software framework for large complex resilient systems and formulating high-level architectural solutions to ensure implemented solutions meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements. Responsibilities:
You will be working with a dynamic team of system engineers responsible for design decisions in all areas of A/V Systems and the technical direction of multiple projects across multiple programs for operations. Responsibilities include designing the systems hardware and software framework for large complex resilient systems and formulating high-level architectural solutions to ensure implemented solutions meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support, including collecting and recording detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes, and providing overall systemcosting for A/V projects
- Design, integrate, test and troubleshoot various network and telecommunications systems including IP networks and ISDN networks
- Understanding plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprint and drawings
Key Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- BS degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 5+ years progressive experience
- Experience with IT and/or telecommunications projects
- Certified Crestron and AMX Programmer preferred
- Demonstrated experience designing and programming Jupiter, Extron, Tandberg, Polycom, Crestron, Lutron, and corresponding hardware and software infrastructure
- Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications
- Strong knowledge of videoconferencing standards
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience performing complex design/build and conceptual design practices
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
