Overview

VTG is seeking a Management Analyst I-Internship t o p rovide entry level logistics/engineering support to the Program Manager at VTG's California, Maryland facility. Work directly with Government Engineering and Logistics personnel investigating the diversity of engineering and logistics activities within the PMA-275 Joint Program Office.

What will you do?

  • The position supports VTG's Program Manager responsible for all levels of Engineering and Product Support serving the Naval Aviation Enterprise.
  • The Management Analyst I is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and providing recommendations based on the business operations associated with Engineering and Product Support for Aerospace Programs .
  • Duties will include, analysis of engineering activities, coordination of calendars, meeting preparation and participation, development of presentation materials and aids, and reporting of analysis.
  • In support of VTG's Product Support Program Manager and supporting Team members, duties will include:
  • Coordinating Meetings, Preparing Agendas and Presentation Materials
  • Ensuring resources are available for meeting attendees
  • Maintaining schedules of meetings, conferences and seminars
  • Analyze Engineering organizational relationships and Team dynamics
  • General Office duties as needed for the safe and effective operations of the Program team members and clients
  • Documentation of engineering findings, analysis and risks
  • Assistance with on-site projects which require additional resources
  • Other duties as assigned

    Do you have what it takes?

    Education: High School Graduate pursuing Engineering degree in an accredited institution.

    Allowable Substitution: None.

    Experience - At least one (1) year of experience in engineering / logistics support or formal engineering / logistics training.

    Work hours will be in direct support of the Program Manager; therefore, hours may be fluid at times in order to meet customer/operational requirements. Work schedule flexibility is required. Work will be performed at VTG's facility in California, Maryland and Government facilities.

    DESIRABLE SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    Highly proficient with the Microsoft Professional Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Power Point; well-developed written and oral communication skills; ability to assess established maintenance/business processes, identify/document process problems and recommend process improvement initiatives; strong team building skills and ability to develop and maintain schedules of complex projects tracking many variables.

    Knowledge of the following areas is highly desirable: a) Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force Organizations; b) Engineering / Product Support / Integrated Logistics Support Requirements; c) General Office skills; and d) Team dynamics.

    Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay is $20 hourly which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
