This role serves as a vital link between development and fielding, requiring a deep familiarity with the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program and architecture. You will provide critical engineering support for Signal Modernization products, managing complex secure baselines and providing direct technical expertise to ensure mission success.
Key Responsibilities

• Configuration & Capability Management: Support PdM NetMod with documentation and software configuration management across up to three different Secure Wireless baselines. Validate quarterly release updates resulting from Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) efforts.
• Field Support & Training: Support ongoing fielding efforts with direct phone and email assistance to the Field Support Engineering (FSE) team. Provide "Train-the-Trainer" instruction to ensure successful technology hand-offs.
• Technical Documentation: Create detailed network diagrams using MS Visio. Develop step-by-step Detailed Technical Procedures (DTPs) and translate complex requirements into standards-based technical solutions.
• Network Troubleshooting: Perform advanced network and client access troubleshooting using system error messages and logs.
• Acquisition Support: Review mission needs, technical specifications, and contractor proposals for technical accuracy. Conduct in-depth evaluations of network performance and integration strategies.
Technical Skills & Expertise
• Networking & OS: Expertise in Cisco IOS, Aruba OS (Wireless), Palo Alto Networks OS, and VMWare.
• Security Configuration: Expertise in VPN, IPSec, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Authorities, Firewalls, and Active Directory.
• Systems: Advanced proficiency in Windows Server and Windows 10/11 environments.
• NetOps Tools: Hands-on experience with PacStar IQ-Core, SolarWinds, Splunk, SNMPc, Sniffer, and Wireshark.
• Routing: Demonstrated expertise in static routing and troubleshooting virtualized environments.
• Required Qualifications (LCAT: System Engineer III)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Testing, or a related field.
Substitution: A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted with an additional seven (7) years of related tactical network systems engineering experience.
• Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of tactical network systems engineering experience.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in WIN-T or Tactical Network Configuration Items (CIs) and Architecture.
• Cross-Functional Expertise: Specialized knowledge of Signal Modernization products, including Small Form Factor Wi-Fi and SWMRE.
• Competency: Proven ability to design and implement LANs/VLANs and manage end-to-end network design, including RF engineering and tactical voice/data transmission.
