Communications Network Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Communications Network Specialist to support a mission-driven organization focused on secure government communications and enterprise network operations. This position is on-site in the Pauxent River, MD area with some travel required. The Communications Network Specialist will support, administer, and troubleshoot complex LAN, BAN, and WAN environments to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity for critical operations. This role directly supports national security missions by maintaining resilient, high-performing communications infrastructure.

Responsibilities for the Communications Network Specialist include:

• Evaluating, configuring, and troubleshooting communication hardware and software across LAN, BAN, and WAN environments
• Administering and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, and security
• Supporting network conversions, upgrades, and cutovers while coordinating with stakeholders and end users
• Integrating, testing, and validating large-scale computer and communications networks
• Providing technical support and documentation for network operations and issue resolution

Required Qualifications for theCommunications Network Specialist include:

• 4+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise network environments
• Hands-on experience with networking technologies including LAN/WAN routing, switching, and network performance monitoring
• Strong troubleshooting and coordination skills supporting large-scale, integrated network systems
• IAT II Certification (Sec+ or equivalent)
• Active Secret security clearance

Compensation for the Communications Network Specialist includes:

• Salary Range: $60,000 - $72,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Tuition Reimbursement, and Sick Leave as required by law
