Overview
Lead Ammunitions Technicians Instructor (JXQN-2026-25037):
Bowhead seeks a Lead Ammunitions Technicians Instructor to support the Weapons Systems Training Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
The Lead Instructor will oversee and conduct training programs focused on ammunition handling, explosives safety, transportation compliance, and environmental risk management. Responsibilities include instructing, evaluating student performance, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and course materials.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

- AMMO-81-HC Hazard Classification
- Fleet Sentencing
- Explosive Driver Certification

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associates degree is required an at least five (5+) years of work experience.
- Experience in ammunition operations, explosives safety, and instructional delivery.
- Ability to lead training events in both classroom and field environments.
- Demonstrable experience developing and delivering training programs
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
