Job Description

At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Subcontracts Administrator, a typical day will include the following duties:

Provide subcontract administration support, including pre-and post-award subcontract administration, maintain responsibility for soliciting and administering subcontracts, modifications, and associated documentation. Review prime solicitation packages, and draft subcontract solicitation packages to support the prime proposal. Negotiate subcontract agreements Maintain subcontract files. Work as part of a team and use effective communication in daily interactions with internal and external clients. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Develop trusted partnerships with internal and external customers.
  • Employ sound business practices.
  • Supports all phases of Subcontract Management from pre-award to post award to procurement strategy, development of comprehensive RFPs, proposal evaluation, negotiation strategies, subcontract awards, compliant file documentation.
  • Provides quality proposal support to include acquisition strategy proposal writing, development of small business subcontracting and participation plans, Supply Chain Risk Management plans, cost/price analysis etc.
  • Manages performance of the portfolio.
  • Assess subcontractor/supplier performance individually and in coordination with the programs.
  • Ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work independently as well as part of a Team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include well developed analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
