Job Description

TIAG is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Application Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic and the United States Marine Corps (USMC). In this critical role, you will shape the future of intelligence capabilities by driving advanced computer design, software development, and network architecture. You will be at the forefront of providing technical expertise for mission success and the delivery of secure, cutting-edge technology to our warfighters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead advanced computer design, software development, and computer network engineering initiatives.
  • Provide dedicated technical expertise and DCGS support.
  • Serve as designated Key Personnel on the contract, driving technical strategy and ensuring the seamless execution of critical project deliverables without interruption.
  • Maintain and apply high-level industry certifications to design and implement secure, robust systems leveraging specific vendor platforms (such as Microsoft, Red Hat, CISCO, VMWare, Cloud environments, Kubernetes, or Docker).
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, NIWC Atlantic stakeholders, and USMC representatives to ensure all systems meet rigorous defense security and operational standards.
  • Mentor and train additional team members on new technology and/or best practices.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a field of concentration in computer science. Master's preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience (with a Master's degree) OR fourteen (14) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
  • Five (5) years of experience in support of DCGS highly preferred.
  • Active Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Must hold a relevant professional certification such as Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) or Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), OR possess a COR-approved vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Microsoft role-based, Red Hat RHCP, CISCO CCNP/CCDP, VMWare VCP, Cloud certifications, Kubernetes CKA, or Docker DCA).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess the ability to meet and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher).
