Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 2- Liaison Engineering to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This 4/10 2nd shift position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
This position is for the Section Manager of Liaison Engineering for the F-35 Program, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) F-35 Production Support Department Manager.

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- The Section Manager will lead a growing team of 10-15 Liaison Engineers.
- Responsible for the disposition of nonconforming metallic and composite parts and assemblies as well as subsystem nonconformance.
- For functional tasking, approximately 15% statement of work will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions.
- Support the VE Liaison Engineering Department Manager on the NGAS Liaison Engineering Community of Practice is expected.
- The Section Manager is expected to be thoroughly versed, and preferably a Subject Matter Expert (SME), for the Liaison Engineering discipline and the MRB process.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree with 7 years of related experience
- Experience in a technical leadership/management roles.
- Material Review Board (MRB) Authority.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or PhD in ME, AE, or Civil Eng with (Structures) Design emphasis.
- MES experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in staffing forecasting.
- Current Active In-Scope DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
