As the Navy Canister Products Lead for the Launcher IPT Senior Manager, you will:
• Identify and lead resolution of technical issues through the entire launcher system component development and fielding process
• Coordinate integration of the Launcher system components with the rest of the weapon systems elements including interface definition, functional and performance allocations, trade studies, and compatibility analysis
• Coordinate and guide design reviews, including requirements allocation, concept evaluations, trade studies, layouts, and analyses
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Subcontractors, Technical Stakeholders, and Government Customers in support of cross-discipline product development and proposal activity
• Maintain and provide status of internal manufacturing centers and supplier manufacturing and tooling readiness and progress
• Support LM Sourcing and CPEs with on-site presence throughout product manufacturing lifecycle
• Support product pre-shipment reviews and product end-item data package submissions
• Support producibility studies, cost trades, design for long term operations and maintenance, as well as all vital development planning activities
• Support and evaluate supplier process improvement initiatives
• coordinate product related Risks and Opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge and application of Project Engineering processes and Production functions including:
a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) Design reviews
d.) Familiar with design for Manufacturability
e.) Material nonconformances and disposition/ corrective action
f.) Failure investigation and Root Cause/ Corrective Action
• Mechanical engineering, manufacturing, missile and/or aerospace related experience
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired Skills:
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams to communicate and coordinate as one team with common goals
• Component development experience / component lifecycle development to fielding
• Experience with requirement definition, documentation, and verification
• Experience with Navy SSP customer
• Experience in missile systems, launch systems design
• Familiarity with underwater and launch tube environments
• Familiar with materials engineering and manufacturability of mechanical designs
• Deployed weapon system Sustainability & Maintainability experience
• Certified Principal Engineer (CPE/ RSE) role awareness or experience
• System Integration, Test and/or Verification experience
• Experience with supply chain management and subcontracts support

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
