Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING Provide technical support for Radar and/or Sonar programs focusing on power-supply design and power-subsystem engineering. The role drives reliable, high-performance power solutions that enable mission-critical sensor systems.
THE WORK
Design, analyze, and simulate power-supply circuits, distribution networks, and power-conversion topologies to meet system requirements.
Perform root-cause investigations and develop corrective-action plans for power-related issues.
Build and refine engineering procedures, seeking continuous-improvement opportunities and greater efficiency.
Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise in power-electronics best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers, subject-matter experts, and cross-program teams to integrate power solutions into radar/sonar platforms.

Experienced power-electronics engineer (radar/sonar focus preferred).
Proficient in circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of root-cause analysis and corrective-action implementation.

Basic Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Analog Circuits, design and analysis.
-Familiarity and knowledge of Power Systems design including Linear and Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).
-Experience with Lab Equipment - O-Scopes, DVMs, etc.
-Knowledge of PCB design.
-Ability to obtain and hold a DOD Security clearance.
-Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written/verbal skills
-Able to work efficiently in a diverse team environment.
-Demonstrated ability to act independently
-Shown problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Desired Skills:
-PSPICE and/or LTSPICE tool Experience.
-Power System Simulation and Modeling Experience - PSIM
-AC/DC and DC/DC Converter Design Experience
-Familiarity with EMC and Electrical Safety Standards.
-Experience working with Power filter/power quality/EMI
-Harmonic distortion, ripple, noise.
-Design for pulsed load and high power applications
-Experience utilizing circuit design, component layout, board layout and schematics.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
