GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The PSM will oversee security management for the Kratos SRE Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonics Test Bed 2.0 (MACH-TB) program. The PSM is responsible for administering and overseeing the MACH-TB security program in compliance with government and company requirements. This role ensures the protection of classified information, facilities, and personnel, and serves as the primary liaison with government security officials.
This position requires expertise in all disciplines of the industrial security field and will be required to interface with all levels of department, division, and government management, as well as employees and subcontractors, in order to cultivate and maintain optimal contract performance.
This PSM is responsible for providing security oversight and guidance relative to 32 CFR 117, National Industrial Security Program, program security guides and other directives. The PSM will report directly to the Facility Security Officer (FSO).
The Program Security Manager position can either be located in Huntsville, AL or Crane, IN, based off the candidates preference.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and Manage Security Programs: Create and implement comprehensive security strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform security risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential threats and implement measures to address them.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Program Managers, IT, engineering, legal, and other departments to integrate security requirements into all business processes.
- Maintain Security Policies: Develop and update security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and protection against threats.
- Oversee Training Programs: Manage security awareness training programs to educate employees about best practices and emerging threats.
- Monitor Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements across the organization.
- The PSM must possess the confidence to speak for the program and the security team when needed, make critical security decisions, and implement security processes that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities and information.
- Provide clear guidance to company employees and subcontractors and recommend modifications to operations, policies or procedures as appropriate. Work as a team player, demonstrate flexibility and excellent organizational skills to manage complex tasks
- Develop and implement requirements of OPSEC and Technology Control Plans, to include development and administration of training to ensure protection of critical information and controlled technology entrusted to Kratos
- Investigate security violations and prepare reports, corrective action reports
- Maintain a working relationship with each contract's security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances
Experience and Skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years' experience. Additional years' experience may be used in lieu of a degree
- Current Top Secret clearance is required. Additional access and clearances may be necessary as required by program needs
- Demonstrated success as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) or equivalent positions for 2+ years
- Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance, DCSA guidance and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
- Strong working knowledge of SIMS, DISS, NISS, ACCS, SWFT and eMASS
- Experience in the end-to-end tasks of clearance processing, to facilitate the employee interaction, and engaging with new hires to ensure timely completion of required tasks
- Experience in conducting security indoctrinations and orientations for newly hired staff
- Experience conducting security incident inquiries and writing investigation reports for use internally within the company as well as for distribution to outside entities as necessary
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, organize and prioritize under pressure
- Commitment to Security - create and deliver high quality, high value efforts for our customers
- Interact with Corporate HQ and program management on insider risk management activities
- Experience with Technology Control Plans (TCPs)
- Experience with proposal development and contract closeout processes
- FSO Program Management Certification and other related security training
KNOWLEDGE:
The PSM must have general knowledge, through training or equivalent job experience, in the following:
- Methods of conducting audits, inspections, control, and monitoring techniques
- Relevant government legislation and regulations that pertain to national security
- Security assessment methodology
- Methods of facility security surveys and inspections
- Must be knowledgeable with COMSEC procedures
- Must be knowledgeable with NATO procedures
- Experience in acquisition, mergers, and divestitures
- Must be knowledgeable in sponsorship for FCL
- Must have knowledge in SAP and SCI programs
SKILLS:
