I2X Technologies is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Westminster, CO. This position will be hybrid, with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote and will require an active Top Secret clearance .
This role will support the architecture, development, and release of the following:
Qualifications
8-12 years of professional experience preferred.
Essential Requirements:
US Citizenship is required.
Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. - Apply innovative design techniques to create cutting-edge electronic systems
- FPGA development and digital IP integration for space systems and high reliability electronic systems
- Architect and lead complex FPGA SoC designs with AMD (Xilinx) software and IP
- Test and debug flight and engineering hardware in laboratory environments
- Work alongside flight software team to develop embedded Linux board support package
- Develop and release FPGA Verification Plan/Test Matrix (FVP/FVTM) and FPGA Version Description Document (FVDD)
- Provide subject matter expertise to the program's technical risk and opportunity assessments, assisting with the definitions of impact and probability as well as providing insight into effective methods for risk mitigation and opportunity capture
- Orchestrate and enable tasks owned by team and resolve blockers prohibiting closure of tasks
- Work collaboratively in a cross-disciplined environment with both internal and external customers
- Understanding of detailed board deisgn including digital design, analog design, power design, FPGA design, and packaging
- Understanding of root of trust/chain of trust concepts and implementation into firmware and software
This role will support the architecture, development, and release of the following:
- Versal FPGA for algorithms
- Zynq FPGA for control electronics
- Zynq FPGA for algorithms
