Zero Trust Enterprise Architect

The Opportunity:

A well-designed, secure network is critical to enabling the Department of Defense ( DoD ) to accomplish its mission. As a Zero T rus t Enterprise Architect, you will play a key role in ensuring that enterprise and mission systems are resilient, scalable, and aligned with evolving operational and security needs. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on implementation to design and maintain secure network architectures across complex environments.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, customers, vendors, and end users to understand strategic objectives and operational requirements, translating them into robust network and security solutions. Leveraging your expertise, you will support the full lifecycle of network systems, including planning, acquisition, design, installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of hard war e and sof t war e components. As a Zero T rus t Enterprise Architect, you will lead the design, integration, and operationalization of Zero T rus t architectures aligned with DoD Zero T rus t strategy and reference architecture.

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity within DoD or federal environments
• 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting network and security architectures, including Zero T rus t implementation
• Experience architecting and implementing Zero T rus t solutions aligned with DoD Zero T rus t strategy and target-level frameworks
• Experience documenting complex architectures, supporting defense programs, and delivering secure, scalable solutions
• Experience in Identity and Access Management, micro segmentation, endpoint security, and secure network or cloud architecture
• Experience with Zero T rus t Network Access ( ZTNA )
• Experience working within classified environments
• Knowledge of DoD security standards, RMF or ATO processes, and compliance frameworks
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience supporting and operating DoD networks in mission or tactical environments, including INDOPACOM or Pacific-based operations
• Experience transitioning legacy peri met er-based architectures to Zero T rus t models
• Experience with multivendor network and security platforms such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, and VM war e
• Experience with commer cia l and DoD cloud environments and cloud security architecture
• Experience applying STIGs and performing system hardening
• Knowledge of automation, orchestration, and policy -as-code security enforcement
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or CCNA Certification s

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
