Engineering Project Manager
Must be a United States citizen with a clear background for government security investigation with the ability to obtain a Clearance or Common Access Card (CAC).
Assists and analyzes across a wide variety of projects and mechanical systems applying engineering principles. Working directly with clients, experts, and other contractors to proactively develop project documents, provide cost and schedule analysis, investigate, and solve problems, track/report project metrics, draft decision papers and staff them through the Air Force client organization, and communicate effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Engineering Project Manager: $70,000 to $80,000.

Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Reviews, analyzes, and applies UFC, AFIs, and country-specific codes to design and construction of vertical and horizontal facilities. Analyzes complex facility design/construction cost and schedule issues, propose solutions, and assist clients and implementing them with stakeholder engineers.
- Reviewing designs and assisting with developing mechanical systems, components, and products related to DoW projects.
- Provides technical expertise and project management advice and guidance.
- Assists in managing large design/construction projects; develop and present results of analysis; advise stakeholders and clients as owner's representative.
- Conducts comprehensive technical reviews of professional studies, reports, and analysis.
- Collaborates with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and construction managers.
- Works with other project managers and other consultants to find ways to reduce costs/schedule without endangering the success of the project.
- Defines and Develops engineering project requirements and translate them into Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work.
- Aid in the identification, planning, development, preparation, scheduling, execution, tracking, and close-out of requirements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to assist in the drafting of requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve project goals.
- Keeping up-to-date with technological advancements and industry trends to drive innovation in designs and processes.
- Performs data entry into and utilizes NEXGEN for work-related requirements.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Engineering Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of design experience in HVAC, water, wastewater, and/or other industrial mechanical systems.
- Experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow project related procedures and complete established milestones.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications, NexGen (desired), VAST (desired), BUILDER SMS (desired), Tableau (desired), RSMeans Cost Books (desired), and E4Clicks (desired).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating system, Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat DC.
- Professional-level certification and/or registration is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated track record of working across disciplines such as contracting, engineering, finance, contractors, and stakeholders so proactively anticipate and solve project issues.
- Skilled in managing projects/programs with similar complexity with US Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marine Corps.
- Strong preference for completion of AFIT cost estimating course WENG 400 and/or experience with PACES.
- Knowledge of construction processes for DoW OCONUS.
- Familiar with industry software tools for cost and schedule estimating. Prefer knowledge of Air Force data systems (e.g., ACES, Tririga, Builder) or DoW MILCON processes.
- Track record of working collaboratively with clients/customers to identify issues and solve problems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Air Force NACI/SF85 for unescorted access to on-base facilities.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
