Job Description:
In this role, you will focus on managing RHEL servers, with a particular emphasis on managing and remediating Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for RHEL operating systems hosted in cloud environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include remediating vulnerabilities, applying necessary patches, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will also be responsible for spinning up EC2 instances within AWS, configuring them to meet organizational requirements, and maintaining their operational integrity through regular updates and monitoring. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise within the cloud-based server infrastructure.
To excel in this position, you should be comfortable deploying solutions via infrastructure as code. Scripting skills are essential, as you will need to develop and maintain scripts that support automation, patch management, and system monitoring. Experience with security compliance processes, infrastructure patching, and hands-on server administration in dynamic cloud environments will help you succeed and grow in this role.
