Travel Specialist (Secret Clearance #26-032)

As a Travel Specialist, you will:
- Support agency wide travel efforts by submitting travel vouchers using the Concur Travel System.
- Reach out to travelers upon return to collect relevant documentation (i.e. voucher submission form & receipts) in an expedient manner.
- Respond to travel voucher inquiries and provide federal travel policy guidance when applicable.
- Communicate with Travel Ambassadors to stay aware of all future travel.
The ideal Travel Specialist is motivated, driven, and meets the following criteria:
- Knowledge of and experience in applying DoD travel policies, JTR, and DoD FMR.
- Specific knowledge and expertise in researching and interpreting the JTR; DTS Operations/Help Desk/Training.
- Reviewing manually and DTS generated travel vouchers.
- Preparing manual/traditional and DTS travel authorizations.
- Administering the GTCC program in accordance with DoD FMR,
- Processing passport/visa applications.
- Researching the Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG); Commercial Ticketing Office (CTO) operations and use of GSA City Pair airfare rates.
- Processing permanent change of station (PCS) travel authorizations and vouchers
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma
Clearance:
Current Secret required, DoD Top Secret Clearance preferred, SCI eligible.
Position requires working in the office, some telework possible.
