SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations. Knowledge of the policies, authorizations, and limitations imposed by US Public Laws, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of the Air Force Directives to provide single Air Force travel policy interpretations. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Comprehensive Knowledge of policies and practices to negotiate transportation service through with United States Transportation Commands (USTRANSCOM) joint scheduling agency, Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), United States Army Priority Air Transport (USAPAT) scheduling agency and the Navy Air Logistics Office (NALO) to meet not only user requirements but also user expectations.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Operational Support Airlift Division (AF/A3MO), ensuring AF/A3MO complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Represents the Special Air Missions Directorate (AF/A3M) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Research, compiles data and ensures SSCA and/or OSA MilAir requests follow DoD directives, AF instructions and policies.

- Prior to reporting for duty, the incumbent must be approved for Presidential Support Duty (PSD) in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (PSD Category II). Prior to selection, the applicant must be prescreened for PSD suitability. The applicant must maintain PSD approval to remain eligible to hold the position.
- Incumbent will participate in drug testing commensurate with DOD provisions and requirements for maintaining the security clearance and special access and may be subject to national security or lifestyle polygraph examination, or other security surveillance methods.

- Previously Rated Officer (pilot or navigator), Enlisted Aircrew (Loadmaster, Flight Engineer or Boom Operator), or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified Aircraft Dispatcher with CAMPS (Avisource) Flight Management System, GDSS II, Single Mobility System (SMS), OSD validation and Special Air Mission experience to provide intimate knowledge of aviation traffic management principles and extensive strategic flight planning expertise to determine mission priorities and consolidate operational airlift requests when practical.
