AI Developer

This is a hands-on development role focused on building and integrating AI/ML capabilities into development and testing workflows in secure environments.

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI applications using Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and LLM integration frameworks.
• Build and optimize AI-powered tools for automated testing, code generation, and intelligent data processing.
• Integrate approved Large Language Models (LLMs) into development pipelines, including prompt engineering, RAG implementations, and fine-tuning where needed.
• Collaborate on AWS infrastructure (SageMaker, Bedrock) for model training and inference in secure environments.
• Perform code reviews, document technical processes, and ensure full compliance with DoD security standards (IL5/IL6).
• Support rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development for AI-enhanced software development and testing workflows.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in AI/ML development (Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, NLP/LLMs).
• Proven experience working in secure, DoD-compliant environments (FedRAMP, GovCloud, IL5/IL6, or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with DoW-approved LLMs or platforms such as AWS Bedrock GovCloud or SAGE, Open AI or xAI are highly desired.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Mabl, Applitools) or AI-augmented testing is a plus.
• Background in defense or government AI/software projects is strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• US Citizenship required. An active Secret clearance (or higher) will be required if converted to full time employment.
