Overview
As the Analyst, Financial Systems working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will support Data Analytics and Information Management tasking. You will be expected to have knowledge of and access to program datasets and broader information systems and databases such as NSWC Corona Ship Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII), Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), Navy Data Environment (NDE), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities
- Provide financial management support for the branch, office, organization or department
- Provides guidance and oversight to contractors at junior and mid experience levels
- Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets
- Measure organizational performance
- Assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget
- Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives
- Employs cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program trade-off, and explore alternative funding methods
- Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization's spending
- Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets
- Conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures
- Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders
- Manage finances across multiple funding types
- Track budgets, costs, and variances
- Produce executive summaries
- Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements
- Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues
- Interpret and apply financial management principles
- Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations, and organizational strategic goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- 10% travel
Preferred:
- Master's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
- EVM certification or equivalent or DAU Cost Estimating Advances credential or Financial Management Practioner certification
- Minimum of 12 years professional experience
