Mechanical Engineer - Thermal & Structural Analysis

McLeansville, NC

Pay Estimated: $52.77 - $57.77/Hour

Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities:

• Perform thermal and structural analysis using tools such as ANSYS and MATLAB
• Develop and evaluate 3D mechanical models and detailed drawings using CAD tools
• Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure performance, producibility, and compliance
• Analyze and validate designs against technical, government, and industry standards
• Support design reviews, failure analysis, and performance optimization
• Contribute to technical documentation, including reports, white papers, and proposals
• Lead or support complex engineering projects from concept through production

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• ANSYS (required)
• MATLAB (required)
• Thermal analysis & structural analysis
• 3D CAD modeling & mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication methods
• Familiarity with government and industry standards
• Experience leading complex engineering projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced experience in thermal simulation and modeling
• Strong 3D modeling capability (any major CAD platform)
