Job Description

Are you looking to deepen your experience in aircraft records management in a fast-paced and collaborative environment? We have an opportunity for you! As an Aircraft Records Clerk III, you will oversee the comprehensive management of aircraft records. This role includes ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, coordinating with various departments, and taking a lead role in audits and compliance checks.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of aircraft technical records.
  • Lead internal and external audits related to aircraft documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and other departments to streamline documentation processes.
  • Train junior staff in record-keeping best practices.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for documentation and records management.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge working with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft word processing programs.
  • Progressive experience with scanning paper records into electronic records.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of computer systems.
  • General knowledge of time compliance items.
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Associate's degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Supervisory or training experience.
  • Advanced skills in information management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Data entry/clerical experience.
  • Aircraft records database/ aircraft maintenance tracking software experience.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Ability to type 35 WPM.
  • Familiarity with rotable and non-rotable aircraft parts certificates.


Essential Function:
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Majority of work performed on a computer.
  • Hand/finger dexterity is required.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $25.24 - $34.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
