Job Summary
Disruptive Solutions is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to support the development and optimization of enterprise data systems and analytics solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience working with modern data tools such as Databricks, Python, Spark, and SQL in a mission-driven environment.
In this role, you will assist in building data pipelines, preparing and transforming data, and supporting the creation of dashboards and insights that drive decision-making. You will work alongside experienced engineers and analysts, gaining exposure to both data engineering and analytics workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and automating Python scripts for data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline development using tools such as Databricks and Spark
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
• Help create reports and visualizations using Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI to communicate insights
• Contribute to building and supporting machine learning models and predictive analytics initiatives
• Maintain and support historical data models, including the Faces to Spaces Data Model
• Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and improving data workflows and system performance
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• 0–2 years of experience (internships, academic projects, or relevant coursework accepted)
• Exposure to one or more of the following: Python, SQL, Databricks, Spark, or Pandas
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI
• Basic understanding of data processing, ETL concepts, or analytics workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Comfortable using modern tools, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Delta tables, external tables)
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts or tools such as MLFlow or model serving
• Academic or project experience building data pipelines or working with large datasets
• Experience integrating or working with legacy data systems
