Job Description
Position Title: Network Engineer
Location: Panama City Beach, FL
Clearance: Top Secret (preferred) or Secret (required)
Position Overview:
ISPA Technology is hiring two SDN / SD-WAN Network Engineers to support a WAN-focused portfolio that includes command-and-control software, SD-WAN capabilities, packet transport, and shore services. These engineers will help design, integrate, test, and sustain software-defined network capabilities in an environment where operational reliability matters. The right candidate understands not only how networks route traffic, but how architecture, automation, testing, and security together determine whether the network is truly mission-ready.
What You Will Do
Engineer, configure, integrate, and sustain SDN and SD-WAN solutions across WAN-oriented environments.
Support command-and-control software and transport services that rely on dependable, observable network behavior.
Troubleshoot routing, policy, transport, overlay, service, and interoperability issues across lab, integration, and operational support contexts.
Contribute to deployment planning, performance validation, change management, and lifecycle support for network capabilities.
Work closely with testers, cyber personnel, and systems engineers to ensure network changes are secure, supportable, and operationally sound.
Document network designs, implementation procedures, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guidance.
Technical Environment
SDN and SD-WAN architectures
WAN engineering, transport, and service delivery
Overlay / underlay behavior and policy-driven networking
Network testing and performance validation
Configuration control and sustainment documentation
Automation familiarity, with Ansible as a strong bonus
Required Qualifications
Strong network engineering background with experience in enterprise, transport, or mission-support WAN environments.
Hands-on experience with SDN, SD-WAN, or software-defined network services.
Ability to troubleshoot complex routing, policy, connectivity, and service issues.
Experience creating and maintaining technical network documentation.
Ability to work across design, integration, sustainment, and operational support tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with network automation or Ansible.
Familiarity with command-and-control software integration or packet transport environments.
Exposure to testing and validation in controlled or compliance-aware environments.
Why ISPA Technology
Work on meaningful defense and mission-support engineering problems with experienced technical teams.
Contribute across automation, cyber, platforms, networking, integration, and test—not just one narrow lane.
Join a culture that values ownership, technical depth, curiosity, and practical execution.
Live and work in Panama City Beach, Florida, with direct access to a growing technical mission hub.
We are looking for engineers who combine technical depth with practical execution—people who can turn complexity into clarity, and design into dependable results.
