Job Description
NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Senior Microsoft Intune Administrator to support a Federal Program. This is a direct-hire role with our client, a fast-growing Federal Security Services firm. This role is fully remote, an active Secret Clearance is required,
Position Description: Senior Microsoft Intune Administrator (SME)
Role Overview
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead the architecture, implementation, and continuous monitoring of Microsoft Intune within a complex DoD environment. Unlike traditional systems management, this role focuses on cloud-native endpoint management, zero-trust security postures, and the automation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) as a service. You will be responsible for ensuring that all Fourth Estate common IT services are seamlessly integrated and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Intune Engineering & Architecture: Design and manage the full lifecycle of Intune, including Autopilot for modern provisioning, configuration profiles, and compliance policies tailored for DoD Impact Level (IL) environments.
RMF Integration: Collaborate on the "RMF-as-a-Service" model by automating compliance reporting and ensuring that endpoint configurations meet the continuous monitoring requirements of an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Policy Management: Develop and deploy administrative templates, PowerShell scripts, and proactive remediations to maintain global policy consistency across multiple Defense Agencies (DAFAs).
Strategic Collaboration: Work directly with program leadership and the DES Program Manager to align endpoint strategies with the broader goal of IT consolidation and migration.
Modern Management Transition: Lead the shift from legacy MECM/SCCM-centric workflows to a modern, Intune-first management approach.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Intune Mastery (Critical): Extensive, hands-on experience specifically in Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in cloud-native management rather than just hybrid SCCM environments.
DoD Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and the RMF process.
Automation: Advanced proficiency in PowerShell for automating repetitive tasks and custom application deployments.
Infrastructure Experience: Familiarity with the Defense Enclave Services (DES) contract vehicle and the nuances of the DoD Fourth Estate IT environment.
Certifications: IAT Level II or III (e.g., Security+, CISSP) and Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).
Preferred Attributes
Experience with Virtual Desktop as a Service (VDIaaS) and its integration with Intune.
Proven track record of migrating large-scale legacy environments into the DES common IT framework.
Ability to draft technical justifications for "as-a-service" pricing models based on ATO volume
