Job Description

The Scrum Master will support agile delivery for the ITA AI Center of Excellence by enabling high-performing development teams and ensuring adherence to Scrum and SAFe Agile principles. This role focuses on facilitation, coordination, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions.
  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization.
  • Promote transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and other delivery teams.
  • Track and report team performance metrics.
  • Support integration of Agile practices across programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship (required).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI or higher background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.


Desired Qualifications
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master).
  • Experience supporting federal IT programs.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools.
  • Experience working with AI or software development teams.
