You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer Associate Manager for the LTIAMD Advanced Programs Team. Our team is responsible for supplier development across advanced programs.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Supplier Quality Engineer Associate Manager you will be responsible for leading a high-performing SQE team and driving supplier quality excellence.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.

  • Coordinate early supplier engagement, evaluation, risk mapping, and source inspections.

  • Manage recruitment, training, performance assessments, and employee recognition.

  • Oversee root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with QMS and AS9102.

  • Drive metrics, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives using data analytics.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
-STEM degree at bachelors level or higher from an accredited college in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education.

-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

-Experience with Supplier Quality Assurance/Management.

-Experience performing Design/Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D/PFMEA).

-Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and industry standards, GD&T.

-Demonstrated understanding of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

-Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
Desired Skills:
-Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

-Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers.

-Experience in product development, design for manufacturing (DFM), and transition to production.

-Demonstrated understanding of procedure compliance assessment, process audit, and product audit techniques.

-Experience working with US Government Department of Defense customers.

-Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

-Effective interpersonal skills, including team building, risk identification, collaboration, problem solving, and presentations in hybrid working environments (remote and in office).

-Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, Finance, suppliers, customers, and all other stakeholders.

-Experience leading cross-functional teams for root cause investigation, corrective action, and preventive action using tools like 8D, 5-Why, Fault Tree, PFD, FMEA, Standard Work, Control Plans, etc... and ability to collaboratively solve problems for improving design process, manufacturing process, and business process.

-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

-Experience working with Government customers

-Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening and technical writing

-Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.

-Experience with process capability analysis and interpretation, gage R&R, measurement system analysis

-Earned Value Management System Control Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
