Description:Role Overview
Lead and shape production operations for cutting-edge hypersonic programs at Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL. You'll oversee teams, resources, and processes to ensure cost, schedule, and quality goals are met while driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Your work directly impacts national defense programs and the next generation of hypersonic vehicles.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
• Lead production planning for Long Range Hypersonic Weapon, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, and Next Generation Interceptor programs.
• Define staffing, equipment, and facility needs for program execution.
• Build strong partnerships across programs and functional teams to achieve objectives.
• Standardize processes and communicate best practices for operational excellence.
• Drive affordability and commonality initiatives to reduce cycle time and generate program reserves.
• Ensure Manufacturing Engineering team readiness and performance.
• Serve as spokesperson for production operations on major program matters.
• Solve complex problems, manage risks, and make decisions under pressure.
• Support technical documentation, data analysis, and facility layout efforts to optimize operations.

• Collaborative, high-paced production operations team.
• Hands-on involvement in production planning and engineering processes.
• Multi-site coordination with occasional travel to Courtland and Huntsville.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all requirements listed:M/b>
• Experience in a production rate environment.
• Manufacturing engineering or related experience.
• Informal or formal leadership experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to work in Courtland and Huntsville, AL, as required.

Education & Credentials
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Supply Chain, Business, • Engineering, Finance, Economics, IT, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification
• Active Secret clearance

Technical & Engineering Expertise
• Electrical and mechanical assembly experience
• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Statement of Work (SOW), and EPOD
• Experience with SAP and business intelligence tools (Excel Macro, Tableau, WEBI, SADE)
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems tools (SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database) or industry equivalents
• Experience preparing technical documentation and analyzing data
• Experience designing or conducting facility layout and construction projects

Program & Production Management
• 5+ years in production or assembly/integration leadership
• Experience leading or supporting Manufacturing Milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR)
• Knowledge of program lifecycle and early cost impacts
• Experience managing multi-site or multi-functional program support
• Proposal, Basis of Estimate (BOE), or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) experience
• Experience transitioning hardware from prototype/development to production

Leadership & Collaboration
• Formal full-spectrum leadership experience
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal/external customers, including DoD stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with and leading multi-functional teams to meet common goals
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
