What Impact You'll Have
As a Tier 2 Network Administrator, you'll be challenged with enterprise support problems where you will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and other operational staff to address break fix, configuration update, schedule add moves and changes and technology upgrades and installs for Network routers and switches. As an experienced network team member, you'll be expected to coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions. What You'll be Owning
- Conduct approved network changes to include but not limited to VLan, ACL and port assignment.
- Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
- Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades to ensure continued operations of the enterprise.
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations.
- Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
- Support site survey and engineering designs data calls.
- Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
- Works independently with some supervision.
- Problems faced are difficult, will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
- Perform Network ticket resolution.
- Review and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
What You Must Have
- US Citizen, TS/SCI Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
- High School/GED + 9 Yrs, or Associates + 7 Yrs, or Bachelors +5 Yrs, or Masters + 3 Yrs, or PhD +1 Yrs
- IAT II (Ex: Security+)
- CCNA
- Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
- Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x).
- In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
- Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE.
