As a Senior Solution Advisor, DoD, you will focus on providing expert guidance and advice to Foxhole and client organizations in navigating the complex landscape of technology-driven strategic decisions. You will work hand in hand with both the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager to guide the client and develop a strategic roadmap for future states. This role entails analyzing technology trends, aligning IT strategies with business goals, and facilitating the implementation of solutions that drive innovation and competitiveness.

The person filling this position should possess subject matter expertise as it relates to secured application and systems development and delivery on cloud-based platforms paired with leadership skills and abilities. They should be knowledgeable in DevSecOps processes, development and testing optimization tools and techniques, as well as have in-depth understanding of cloud enterprise, distributed network topologies, and database connectivity. This position will, in conjunction with stakeholders and other in-house technical resources, work independently to identify and deliver innovative security-based development infrastructure environments (dev/test/pre-prod/prod) and solutions that enable complementary technologies to function in a secure infrastructure and environment.

The ideal candidate will work closely with other engineers and product owners to advise on overall technical solutions while serving as the chief architect/technical advisor for application/systems development and our commercial partnerships.

Job Description

  • Strategic Planning: Develop, communicate, and execute technology strategies that support the organization's overarching business objectives. Create a clear roadmap for technology investments and initiatives.
  • Technology Assessment: Continuously evaluate the technology ecosystem, identifying emerging trends, assessing their relevance to the business, and recommending adoption or adaptation of new technologies.
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate with executive leadership and business stakeholders to understand their needs and goals. Translate these into actionable technology plans and initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology initiatives, considering cybersecurity, compliance, and operational risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Evaluate and select technology vendors, partners, and service providers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure they align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Digital Transformation: Drive digital transformation initiatives by recommending and implementing technology solutions that enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and create competitive advantages.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage technology budgets, ensuring that funds are allocated appropriately to support strategic goals. Optimize spending and provide financial forecasts for technology investments.
  • Governance and Compliance: Establish governance structures to ensure technology initiatives adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements. Implement policies and procedures to safeguard data and assets.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technology strategies and initiatives to stakeholders across the organization. Provide updates on project status, outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts associated with technology projects, ensuring that the organization can effectively adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.


Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years of general IT experience with 10 years of system/app development focus in US Federal agencies or defense.
  • Proven experience in technology leadership, IT strategy, or a similar role.10+ years advising US Federal Agencies (CIO/CTO/CISO/CDO) on Cyber Data Fusion/Data Lake, Big Data, and/or Data Aggregation/Ingest
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong Background designing and advising on systems that comply with Executive Order 14028, OMB M-21-31, and M-22-09, ICD-503, NIST 800-53, and FISMA
  • Experience supporting Azure, AWS, and other Cloud Service Provider (CSP) platforms in hybrid cloud configurations.
  • Have advanced knowledge and experience with network technologies both IP and Transport layers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with network/solution tools such as Kali Linux, Aqua, Archer, AWS, Big Query, Burp Suite, C#, Confluence, Databricks, GCP, GitHub, Java, Jenkins, Jira, Kubernetes, Looker, Microsoft (Azure commercial, Azure DevOps, Azure Government, Dynamics, o365, Sentinel, SharePoint, SQL Server, Teams), MongoDB, MySQL, NodeJS, Python, ReactJS, RHEL 8, ServiceNow, Slack, Snowflake, Sonar Cloud, Splunk, AWS Management Console, and general O/S related firewall technologies
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMWare, Xen, Proxmox, etc.
  • Experience in building, deploying, and supporting complex systems/applications and associated infrastructures either cloud deployed or on customer premises.
  • Experience incorporating security controls into development, delivery, and operational processes (DevSecOps)
  • Must have experience designing/implementing microservice architecture and highly scalable web services, cloud native design patterns (elasticity, resiliency), agile development project management (SAFe, Kanban)
  • Enthusiastic about finding innovative solutions to detailed and overly complex technical issues within the AI, Cloud, and other leading-edge technologies.
  • Ability to drive turnkey proposals for data platforms, analytics, cost summaries, value propositions as part of cloud modernization, data portfolio rationalization.
  • Strong understanding of current technology trends, including cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
  • Business acumen and the ability to align technology strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Project management skills to oversee technology initiatives, manage resources, and meet project timelines.
