Integrated Logistics Specialist – MALSE
Location: San Diego, CA
Program: Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC)
Supported Site: Naval Special Warfare Logistics Support Unit ONE
Positions: 1 FTE
Position Overview
The Integrated Logistics Specialist provides Maritime and Air Life Support Equipment (MALSE) Systems Integrated Logistics Support in support of Naval Special Warfare Command. This role supports life cycle sustainment of maritime survival and air/parachute support equipment, including equipment fielding, issuing, maintenance support, replacement of obsolete or inoperable equipment, periodic inventory efforts, inventory reporting, and sustainment process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support NSWC N4 portfolio managers with logistics and inventory management of MALSE systems.
Assist with integration and sustainment of MALSE systems into the broader NSW mission from operational, training, logistics, and maintenance perspectives.
Assist with planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing higher-level policy and doctrine related to life cycle sustainment support for air, maritime survival, and related equipment.
Support preparation and execution of Life-Cycle Support Plans, material fielding plans, maintenance concepts documentation, Interim Support Plans, and comparable logistics documents.
Monitor spend plan execution related to contracts or delivery orders, including tracking deliveries, quantities, destinations, acceptance testing, and disposal or demilitarization of obsolete equipment.
Manage equipment life cycle operations and inventory accountability using APSR/property book records and maintenance management systems.
Support PP&E accountability and coordinate outfitting and requisitioning requirements with NAVICP, NAVSEA, DLA, and other agencies.
Provide SME support across ILS elements including product support management, supply support, maintenance planning, PHS&T, technical data, supporting equipment, training, manpower, facilities, and computer resource logistics support.
Assist with inventory, classification, reporting, and maintenance efforts while maintaining coordination with NSCE N41, N49, and N883.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license.
Active Secret clearance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in performing assigned tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to write correspondence in military format when required.
Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally with military and civilian personnel.
Understanding of Naval Special Warfare missions, including air drop and maritime survival requirements.
Understanding of property accountability, inventory requirements, and systematic receiving document processing.
Three years of experience within the USSOCOM enterprise supporting N4 or N8 with ILS support.
Five years of collective experience in integrated logistics support functions such as provisioning, 3-M maintenance, sustainment planning, contracts, and disposal processes.
Five years of experience adjudicating logistics-related documentation including TM, MFP, CMP, LCSP, MOA/MOU/EAA, SOW/WP, Integration Manuals, Interface Control Documents, and Basis of Issue Plans.
Travel Requirement
Travel is required up to approximately 25% in support of system testing, OEM training, system development and integration, and program reviews. CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
Work Schedule / Telework
Telework may be coordinated and approved by the COR on a case-by-case basis. Personnel must be available to return onsite within 24 hours if directed.
Clearance / Security
This position requires an active Secret clearance and access to Government systems and facilities as required for contract performance.
