Onsite in San Diego, CA
The Software Test Engineer and ECU Coordinator will support an agile DoD software project at a Navy base, executing manual and automated testing across UI and backend components. The role will author test documentation, manage regression testing, and collaborate with engineers and developers to validate requirements and quality gates. The position will also oversee on-site ECU inventory, storage, and maintenance, including coordination of radios and cryptographic devices. The work requires an active Secret clearance and experience with COMSEC practices.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities:
- Author and execute manual and automated test cases to verify product requirements.
- Develop and maintain testing tools, techniques, and practices.
- Participate in agile planning, analysis and design sessions, and reviews.
- Validate that quality checks and acceptance criteria are satisfied.
- Report defects and test results in a complete and timely manner.
- Write required test deliverable documentation.
- Implement and maintain regression testing for software.
- Manage on-site ECUs, including storage, inventory, and maintenance.
- Coordinate testing of radios, cryptographic, and fill devices as needed.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years of software testing experience, including manual and automated testing.
- Experience implementing software regression testing.
- Familiarity with automated test tools on software projects.
- Knowledge of radios, cryptographic devices, or fill devices.
- Prior experience with SKLs, Crypto, and COMSEC handling.
- Active Secret DoD security clearance.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- DoD 8570 Security+ certification (required within 90 days of start).
