Onsite in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Our client seeks a Cost Analyst to develop and evaluate lifecycle cost estimates and program office estimates for Army programs using ACEIT. The role will build IGCEs with subject matter experts, assess cost impacts from development through production, and prepare analyses that meet Army and DoD review standards. The position will mentor junior staff, coordinate with the Contracting Officer Representative, and serve as a technical resource. The work will support rigorous reviews and informed decision-making across the program lifecycle.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen. Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Secret clearance.This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
- Perform cost analysis assignments supporting lifecycle cost estimates and program office estimates.
- Develop and evaluate cost assessments and positions for development, demonstration, and production approaches.
- Assess impacts on systems and program costs, including prototype system analyses.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop independent Government cost estimates that meet Army and DoD review standards.
- Serve as working leader to junior personnel and provide technical guidance.
- Review and mentor lower-grade employees' work for quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate work efforts with the Contracting Officer Representative.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum six years preparing and updating cost estimates using ACEIT.
- Experience supporting a DoD PEO, O6 Project Manager, or O5 Product Manager.
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with DoD 5000.02 (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- BA or BS in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
