General-Purpose Offensive Security Operations Reverse Engineer
You will work as a reverse engineer for network-based devices in up-and-coming projects, designing and developing solutions that provide mission-centric results. You will collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and software engineers to offer tactical support.
Responsibilities:
Experience Required: 12 years with Bachelor's degree, or 10 years without degree and 4 additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Location: Columbia, MD
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required
Salary Range: $204,000 - $247,000
You will work as a reverse engineer for network-based devices in up-and-coming projects, designing and developing solutions that provide mission-centric results. You will collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and software engineers to offer tactical support.
Responsibilities:
- Augment existing toolsets.
- Derive, document, and analyze requirements for network-based devices.
- Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission requirements.
- Produce deployable toolsets that can operate within mission constraints.
- Test and oversee testing of toolsets for release.
- Familiarity with Unix-based systems.
- Experience with reverse engineering Linux-based network devices.
- In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and analysis of network traffic (e.g., Wireshark).
- Ability to produce and modify software systems in C/C++/Python/Assembly.
- Support for fielded software systems.
- Familiarity with Git and Subversion.
- Proficiency with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with production offensive security operations capabilities and operations.
- Experience with reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms (RTOS).
- Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, Rust.
- Experience with developing offensive security operations specific software in Linux/Windows/Embedded applications.
- Knowledge of vulnerability research and exploit development.
- Understanding of end-to-end signals intelligence collection and analysis systems.
