We are looking for a Software Engineer 3 to join a dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer level 3 to support the development of advanced data processing and analysis solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting and software development skills, with experience working across diverse data formats and system-level technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Object-Oriented Perl and other scripting languages
• Develop and optimize Bash scripts and command-line pipelines to support data processing workflows
• Utilize Docker to build, modify, and manage containerized applications and environments
• Analyze, parse, and manipulate a variety of file system structures and formats, including executables, registry hives, SQLite databases, LevelDB, Apple plists, and XML
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient solutions
• Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting across development environments
• Contribute to front-end components as needed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 20+ years of relevant experience, or 25+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong experience with Object-Oriented Perl
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux command-line environments
• Experience with Docker and containerized development
• Solid understanding of file systems and low-level data structures
• Experience analyzing and parsing complex data/file formats
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
