Introduction

Join the Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team Program. We are seeking motivated and talented C2BMC Systems Software Engineers to support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Our team is dedicated to supporting the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission to defend the United States and its allies from missile attacks.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, computer engineering, or computer science
• Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Must have an active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret level)
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Experience working as part of an Agile team
• Familiarity with Java J2EE or Java Spring
• Knowledge of server-side development and message passing
• Experience developing enterprise applications
• Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, and Eclipse
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams
• Experience in the full life-cycle development of complex mathematical algorithms for Java-based military applications
• Ability to implement MATLAB-based algorithms into Java-based software
• Understanding of software development principles including OOP, design patterns, and testing/debugging techniques
• Security or equivalent highly desired

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Work with industry partners to design and develop Java-based mathematical algorithms for C2BMC
• Support full software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, and issue resolution
• Participate in agile planning and execution using established processes
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics
• Execute and document integration and test activities and events
